The Power Of Questions: Shift Your Focus

“If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask, for once I know the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes.”
–  Albert Einstein

Questions are powerful tools. When you change the questions you ask yourself, you change the direction of your life.

Remember, it’s not the events of your life that determine how you feel and act, it’s meaning you create from the experience.

Learning to ask empowering questions – especially when something bad happens – is a critical life skill that will ultimately shape the meanings you create and therefore the quality and direction of your life.

How To Release Negative Emotions (Part 3)

This is the third and final entry in the “How To Release Negative Emotions Series”. Be sure to check out part 1 and part 2 if you haven’t already.

The purpose of these videos is to highlight the importance of releasing the negative emotions that bubble up when we try to make positive changes in our personal and professional life.

“Treat negative emotions like negative people, acknowledge their presence and make whatever changes are required to remove them from your life.”
-Anon

In today’s video I share three techniques I use to release negative emotions that I want to clear quickly.

These fast and simple techniques are easy to forget to do but doing them will definitely propel you out of the old emotional patterns and into new directions.

How To Release Negative Emotions (Part 2)

This is the second entry in the “How To Release Negative Emotions Series”. Be sure to check it out the first one if you haven’t already.

The purpose of these videos is to highlight the importance of releasing the negative emotions that bubble up when we try to make positive changes in our personal and professional life.

It doesn’t matter how much you say you want success, if you don’t handle the negative emotions effectively, you will NOT let yourself do what it takes to succeed.

How To Release Negative Emotions (part 1)

It’s great to set goals. It’s great to feel you have clarity and direction in your life. That’s why I’m a strong advocate of the discipline.

But there is a downside to setting goals and that doesn’t get talked about much. One of the “bad side effects” of becoming more conscious of how we are creating our lives is the minds temptation to return to the old patterns of thinking.

This clash between the new way of thinking and old way of thinking can bring about a range of negative thoughts, emotions and patterns. Patterns that may have stopped us before.
How we handle the negative thoughts and emotions that bubble up from the unconscious can either undermine our progress or speed us on our way. If we don’t handle them correctly we can quickly find ourselves drained, stuck and cynical.

I’m planning this topic to be a two part video series. In this video I share where negative emotions come from and why they arise when we want to create a new reality for ourselves.

This is worthy of our awareness. It is important work. That’s why I make these videos for you.

If you enjoy today’s video I would be humbled if you’d take these two quick actions:
FIRST – Help spread the word about . There are many others who are anxiously searching for a way out of their frustrations and limiting mindsets and are hungry to live a life they can feel great about. Hit one of the funky buttons below the video and post this page on your favourite social media platform. Thank you!

How To Use The Ultimate Success Formula

Let me start this post by sharing one of my favourite quotes:

“There are no secrets to success. It is the results of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure”

– Colin Powell

A lot of people ask me how they can have the success they want in their life. They ask, why am i struggling when other people are succeeding? Why aren’t things working out the same for me?

Although there will be a number of reasons for this I can generally boil it down to one of four things they are not doing.

Unlock The Power Of “NO” For Greater Happiness and Success

I’m always looking to share ways to improve our productivity, live with integrity, have more balance and enjoy better health.

Let me introduce you to a small word that will do all of that: NO.

In todays video you’re going to discover how to use the power of “No” to create more of what you want, protect what you value, empower you emotionally and change what’s not working.

There are quite possibly 100’s of things you need to say “No” to in your life. Some may be hanging over your head as you read this. Figuring out what to say “No” to is half the battle.

Four Emotions Sabotaging Your Goals

Emotions are powerful – they have both a positive and negative influence on you.

Today I share four negative emotions that, if left unchecked, sink your ability to complete your plans, fulfil your dreams, and get the life you want.

Often we intellectually know what we want to accomplish in specific areas of our life before we are called to take action on them, but if we are overcome by negative emotions, our decision-making processes can be self sabotaging.

Many coaches, trainers and books talk about the intellectual component of goal achievement; however, the ability to handle four negative emotions is the real key to ultimately being successful.

You deserve to know what you are getting yourself into when you set about achieving a desirable goal.

The truth is life can be hard (I’m not going to sugar coat this) when you decide to go after your dreams – especially big ones. Make no mistake about it, at times you will be red faced with frustrated. Other times you will feel down, dejected and disappointed. The people who love you the most will often criticise, judge and hurt you the most. On top of that, it’s possible you’ll feel scared shitless, fail repeatedly and hit rock bottom before you ever achieve a significant level of progress (I told you I wasn’t going to sugar coat things!).

These type of situations and experiences are the real truth about life. The problem is, when the going gets tough most people quickly retreat back into their comfort zone.

To put it mildly, your patience, confidence, determination, compassion, resilience and positive mindset will be pushed well beyond your current limits.

You see, life isn’t fair! It knocks us down as a way to determine who is best qualified to achieve their dreams. That’s how things work on this planet (just read any success story). Before the Universe permits you to succeed, it test to see how well you can handle four dream sinking emotions.

But there is good news…

I promise, once you learn to deal with the four dream stealing emotions, something magical happens. Suddenly, you will focus less on how hard it can be to achieve your goals. You’ll be willing to pay the price and be someone who can rise to the occasion rather than take the easy road and retreat back into your comfort zone.

Yes it’s true, achieving your big goals can be hard, but it can also be very fulfilling. The only catch is you have to first learn to deal with 4 powerful emotions before you get the just rewards.

So, watch today’s video and prepare yourself to receive the hard facts of what it takes to achieve your goals.

If you enjoy today’s video I would be humbled if you’d take these two quick actions:

Creative Visualisation – How To Think Your Way To Success

A book I read whilst on holiday inspired today’s video. The oddly named book (revealed in the video) reminded me of this thing called a self image. We’ve all got one – it’s a collection of all the thoughts, beliefs and feelings we have about ourselves.

Well, it’s this bundle of thoughts, beliefs and feelings that completely dictates our level of success and happiness in life.

But here’s the big problem:

Most of us have grown up with a negative self image – we think negative thoughts. If we have a self image that is linked to ourselves being overweight, or struggling, or unhappy, or poor, or single, or depressed then this is the reality that our subconscious mind creates.

How To Set Goals: The Master Skill For Success

“The ability to set goals and make plans for their accomplishment is the ‘master skill’ of success. It is the single most important skill that you can learn and perfect. Goal-setting will do more to help you achieve the things you want in life than will anything else you’ve been exposed to.”

– Brian Tracy

Like Mr Tracy, I believe mastering the skill of setting goals and formulating plans for their achievement will have more of a positive impact on your life than anything else you could possibly do.

Stop Making Excuses and Start Taking Action

“Excuses change nothing, but make everyone feel better.”

– Mason Cooley

In today’s video I want to share how to stop making excuses and start taking action.

Do you ever find yourself creating elaborate stories about why you aren’t achieving your goals or achieving the success you really want?

Of course you do, we all do to varying degrees.

Don’t believe me?
