Emotions are powerful – they have both a positive and negative influence on you.
Today I share four negative emotions that, if left unchecked, sink your ability to complete your plans, fulfil your dreams, and get the life you want.
Often we intellectually know what we want to accomplish in specific areas of our life before we are called to take action on them, but if we are overcome by negative emotions, our decision-making processes can be self sabotaging.
Many coaches, trainers and books talk about the intellectual component of goal achievement; however, the ability to handle four negative emotions is the real key to ultimately being successful.
You deserve to know what you are getting yourself into when you set about achieving a desirable goal.
The truth is life can be hard (I’m not going to sugar coat this) when you decide to go after your dreams – especially big ones. Make no mistake about it, at times you will be red faced with frustrated. Other times you will feel down, dejected and disappointed. The people who love you the most will often criticise, judge and hurt you the most. On top of that, it’s possible you’ll feel scared shitless, fail repeatedly and hit rock bottom before you ever achieve a significant level of progress (I told you I wasn’t going to sugar coat things!).
These type of situations and experiences are the real truth about life. The problem is, when the going gets tough most people quickly retreat back into their comfort zone.
To put it mildly, your patience, confidence, determination, compassion, resilience and positive mindset will be pushed well beyond your current limits.
You see, life isn’t fair! It knocks us down as a way to determine who is best qualified to achieve their dreams. That’s how things work on this planet (just read any success story). Before the Universe permits you to succeed, it test to see how well you can handle four dream sinking emotions.
But there is good news…
I promise, once you learn to deal with the four dream stealing emotions, something magical happens. Suddenly, you will focus less on how hard it can be to achieve your goals. You’ll be willing to pay the price and be someone who can rise to the occasion rather than take the easy road and retreat back into your comfort zone.
Yes it’s true, achieving your big goals can be hard, but it can also be very fulfilling. The only catch is you have to first learn to deal with 4 powerful emotions before you get the just rewards.
So, watch today’s video and prepare yourself to receive the hard facts of what it takes to achieve your goals.
