“If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask, for once I know the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes.”
– Albert Einstein
Questions are powerful tools. When you change the questions you ask yourself, you change the direction of your life.
Remember, it’s not the events of your life that determine how you feel and act, it’s meaning you create from the experience.
Learning to ask empowering questions – especially when something bad happens – is a critical life skill that will ultimately shape the meanings you create and therefore the quality and direction of your life.
Some of us learn from other people’s mistakes; the rest of us have to be the other people.
– Zig Ziglar
Let me start out today’s post with two ‘what if’ questions:
1. What if there was a faster and easier way to achieve the results you’d like to achieve in life?
2. What if there is a way to shorten your learning curve for anything you’d like to master in life?
Would you be interested?
Of course you would… anyone would!
Well, there is and that’s what I want to talk about in today’s video.
Let me start this post by sharing one of my favourite quotes:
“There are no secrets to success. It is the results of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure”
– Colin Powell
A lot of people ask me how they can have the success they want in their life. They ask, why am i struggling when other people are succeeding? Why aren’t things working out the same for me?
Although there will be a number of reasons for this I can generally boil it down to one of four things they are not doing.
This is such an excellent video by Tony Robbins. His message reinforces how important our daily rituals are and how they are linked to our standards.
After you have watched Tony’s video ask and answer this question: Where in my life are my standards too low? Then raise your standards and back them up with rituals because rituals = RESULTS!
